My little garden

I live in a duplex apartment.  A one bedroom.  I made it possible to have a little garden on the back of my entrance in the back.

a simple low budget garden, just so I can have some fresh herbs, you know.
This container is a wire mesh container and I just used a plastic to line it.
I'm not using any special soil.  and planted things using Dollar Tree seeds.  Somehow my garden flourished.  and now I can't grow shit.

Look at how wildly my tomato plant.  I love it

check out my basil in a plastic Dollar Tree pot.

Why Dogs Are a Plus in Your Life

Dogs add so much more than cuddles and wagging tails — they truly enhance our lives in countless ways. One of my favorite perks of having a dog is how they encourage me to get outside and explore places I might never have visited otherwise.

Take, for instance, the Ocmulgee National Monument in Macon. It’s a perfect place to take your pup for a walk. This historic park is absolutely humongous, with winding trails, gorgeous scenery, and so much rich history. Before my dogs, I probably wouldn’t have thought twice about spending an afternoon strolling its grounds. But with my pups in tow, it feels like an adventure every single time.

And it’s not just about the new places — it’s about what those walks do for you and your furry friend. Walking is incredibly healthy for both of you. It keeps you active, melts stress away, and provides that much-needed dose of fresh air. Whether you’re winding around the trails at Ocmulgee or simply strolling through your neighborhood, those walks reduce anxiety and help you reset your mind.

Dogs are like little guides to a better lifestyle. They keep us moving, grounded, and present in the moment. They encourage exploration and discovery, showing us that the simple pleasure of a walk together can do wonders for our physical and mental well-being.

So, next time you grab the leash, remember — you’re not just taking your pup out for a potty break; you’re embracing an opportunity to stretch your legs, clear your thoughts, and appreciate the world around you. That’s one of the most beautiful perks of having a dog in your life. 🐾
