Testing my camera apature

Apature, what ever that means.  I just wanted to sound intelligent.  LOL  Anyway my camera is Sony Cybershop, with Carl Zeiss lense.  It is a 7.2 megapixels digital camera.  and I Luv it, very much.  I carry it everywhere I go.  Anyway I was sitting outside on my front front, trying to soak this sun rays in this beautiful and 70 degrees day.  I had to have something to blog about.  So here are some of my photos.  I wanted to see how my close-up looks like.

This is a tiny plant growing in the cracks on my front steps.

Another angle of the plant growing in the crack of my front steps.

Sparks Plugs.  The camera focused on the sparks plugs with the background unfocused.

I tried to capture the ants walking on ground... but they were going so fast.  But this one was caught.

I just made $129.00 from Google Adsense

I blog... I blog a lot.  and I love it when I get my check from Google Adsense.  Although it may not seems a lot of money.  But $129 dollars will pay for my cell phone bill and light bill this month.  I live in a one bedroom apartment and uses a prepaid cell phone.  My phone bill is only $50 a month.  But I do get unlimited calling and text and web from my Boost Mobile plan.  and light bill this month was only $48.00  And I still have a few dollars to take me out to eat in a nice restaurant.  LOL!  I love GOOGLE.  I am straight up a GOOGLIAN.

Not only does Google pays me to blog about nothingness, which by the way is my outlet, my stress reliever, but Google also gives me free phone service.  If you haven't tried Google Voice, well I suggest get it, its free.  You can make  and receive free calls using Google Voice.  Google is the best thing happened to this planet.

I love Google!!!! I think they should rename earth with Google!.

Just bought the Virgin Mobile Mifi

I bought this today, because I just have to have internet at home.  I didn't want to wait for a home installation of local internet provider such as Cox Communication or AT&T.   So my daughter and I drove to BestBuy and bought one.  It cost $149.00 for the device.  The size of the device is a little bit bigger than your standard business cards and its 1/4 inch thick.  We had a little hard time installing the device to our laptops so we called the 1800 number for customer service and we got help pretty quick with the installation. And we were able to connect on the internet.  Finally I'm blogging from home instead of the nearest restaurants who offer FREE WIFI.  So far the device is working properly and the internet speed is fast.  Oh, I did had to buy a $40 broadband top-up along with the $149.00 for the device.  So I paid in total almost $200.00  But the device is worth.  I have 3 items connected, two laptops, and 1 psp system.  and its working out here just find in the boondocks.

What to use vinegar for

The cleaning aisle at just about any grocery store is stocked with a dizzying array of options—and when it comes down to it, there are a lot of expensive, toxic, superfluous products crowding the market. Chances are, you already have one of the best, all-purpose cleaning agents in your pantry: white vinegar. As noted earlier, vinegar actually works as a great laundry booster, stripping away the chemical build-up that detergent leaves behind (and gets rid of clingy odors in the process). And beyond that, there are tons of other applications for the stuff around your home. Here, from vinegartips.com and frugalfun.com, 25 ideas for making the most of vinegar:
1. Deodorize the sink: Pour 1 cup baking soda, followed by 1 cup hot vinegar, down the drain. Let sit for at least 5 minutes, then rinse with hot water.

2. Deodorize the garbage disposal: Make ice cubes out of vinegar. Run the disposal with a few vinegar ice cubes and cold water.

3. Clean countertops: Wipe down surfaces with a rag dipped in vinegar.

4. Clean the fridge: Use a mixture of half water, half vinegar to wipe down the interior shelves and walls.

5. Remove soap build-up and odors from the dishwasher: Once a month, pour 1 cup of vinegar into an empty dishwasher and run the machine through its entire cycle.

6. Bust oven grease: If you’ve got grease spots on the oven door, pour some vinegar directly on the stains, let it sit for 15 minutes, and wipe away with a sponge.

7. To make old glassware sparkle: To get rid of the cloudy effect, wrap a vinegar-soaked towel around the glass and let it sit. Remove and rinse with hot water.

8. Get rid of lime deposits on your tea kettle: Fill the kettle with vinegar and let it boil. Allow it to cool, and rinse with water.

9. Remove stains in coffee cups: Create a paste using of equal parts vinegar and salt (or in lieu of salt, baking soda) and scrub gently before rinsing.

10. Treat Tupperware stains (and stinkiness): Wipe the containers with a vinegar-saturated cloth.

11. Remove stains on aluminum pots: Boil 1 cup vinegar and 1 cup water.

12. Deter ant infestations: Spray outside doorways and windowsills, and anywhere you see a trail of critters.

13. Clean can openers: Scrub the wheel of your can opener with vinegar using an old toothbrush.

14. Remove stickers or labels: Cover the sticker with a vinegar-soaked cloth. Let it sit overnight—it should slide right off by morning.

15. Shine porcelain sinks: A bit of vinegar and a good scrub should leave them sparkling.

16. Clean grout: Pour on some vinegar, let it hang out for a few minutes, and buff with an old toothbrush.

17. Clean the shower door: Spray them down with vinegar pre-shower, or post (after you’ve squeegeed the glass) to remove hard water deposits.

18. Clean a grimy showerhead: To get rid of scum, fill a Ziploc with ½ a cup of baking soda and 1 cup vinegar and tie it around the showerhead. Let it sit for an hour, until the bubbling has stopped. Remove the bag and run  the shower.

19. Make a toilet sparkle: Pour in a cup or two of vinegar and let it sit there overnight before scrubbing with a toilet brush.

20. Polish linoleum floors: Add 1 cup of vinegar for every gallon of water you use to wash the floor.

21. Clean paintbrushes: Soak paintbrushes for an hour before simmering them on the stove to remove hardened paint. Drain and rinse.

22. Clean grills: Spray vinegar on a ball of tin foil, then use it to give the grate a firm scrub.

23. Disinfect wood cutting boards: Wipe down wood boards with a wash of vinegar.

24. Clean the microwave: Fill a microwave-safe bowl with 2 cups water and ½ cup vinegar. Heat it on full power for 3-4 minutes until it comes to a boil. Keep the door closed for a few minutes longer to let the steam fill the microwave, loosening the grime. Remove the bowl (carefully!) and wipe down interior walls with a sponge.

25. Polish patent leather accessories: Give them a rub with a vinegar-soaked cloth. Buff with a dry cloth.

Wilshire Woods Apartments caught on Fire

Before the snow of yesterday in Macon, Georgia there was fire in my daughter's apartment complex.  And what was so scary about it is, the same building she resides is actually on fire.  Around 1 or 2 pm Sunday afternoon, a knock on the door from our neighbor alerted us that the apartment next door is on fire.
Macon Fire Department Arrived Quickly to Put the Fire out.
There was about 4 firetrucks and an ambulance on the scene.

It was then I realized that I'm not prepared or have no plans in case of such an emergency.  I wasn't sure what to grab first.  But I knew to grab both of our laptop and my bag of clothes and head for downstairs.
I don't what caused the fire.  But as you can see these men are really risking their life to put the fire out.  I have to give them their props.  I mean the apartment was really blazing fire.  They quickly got it under control.

I'm just glad no one got hurt.  One of my daughter's neighbor said that the person who lives, just happened to be at church.  Her and her grand children.  And the person who lives downstairs is also at church.  So luckily no one got hurt.

I told my daughter to make sure that her smoke alarm is working properly.  I have to get her some batteries, just in case she doesn't check 'em.

Crochet winter hat and scarf

I wondered in the yard section aisles at Walmart the other night.  I've been meaning to grabbed a yard here and there to satisfy my creative flow when it calls for it.  Don't get me wrong... but I love computer graphics and scrapbooking and bookbinding stuff.  That's my life.  But my creative juice doesn't stop flowing there.  Fortunately when I was under 11 years old, I was surrounded with women that crochet to make a quick buck.  I have to say... and give my token of appreciation to my cousin Rowena, who is a few years older than I.  And I think I remembered her teaching me techniques.  I used to follow her to a lady who collected all of her knitted and crochet completed work and would pay her for it.  I remembered the lady weighing the crochet materials.  I guess to make sure that all of the yard is used up.  But I loved crochet and it became a part of me ever since.

I guess creativity has always been a part of me no matter what type of creative activity I was exposed I delve in whole heartedly.  and let me say, I also like to sow, and ceramics.  Crazy right?   Anyway here's some photos of my crochet hat and scarf.

Hat and scarf, I crochet in one day.

The idea came to, while in the process of figuring out how to apply fringe at the end of my scarf.  I just continued to single chain crochet of 30 chains, folded and connected and continue to the next one set of 30 chains.

It would have take longer to create my scarf but I decided to create this gab of, I don't know what you call this pattern, in every 3 rows.

I added a single chain and inter looped in my hat to control the tightness of the hat on my head.

I love my new hand made crochet hat and scarf.
I bought this yard for $2 at Walmart.  I'm planning to buy additional colors and make more hats and scarf.  and maybe I might just sell them on Ebay.com or give them away for as Christmas Gifts.

What I ate today.

Drank water all day.  Not a lot but a lot more than I usually do in a day, which is pretty much none.  I snacked on a couple of hand full tropical trail mix and drank water through out the day.  And couple of hours ago I had bought a tuna sandwich with plenty of veggies, no mayo, honey mustard and vinegar with oil.  and I ate the other six inch of tuna sandwich just prior to posting this blog.  I did a few minutes of walking.

My New Year Resolution

My new year resolution is probably not that much different from a lot of people.  My main focus this year is my health.  At the age of 37 years old...I don't feel as lively as I use to be.  So this year my health is very important.  I have gain more weight than I wanted the past few years.  I'm over 200 pounds and I'm determined this year to remove at least 50 lbs off my body.

The last few years, my New Years Health resolution was always to loose weight.  But this year I have little bit more overstanding when it comes to loosing weight.  I don't just want to loose weight this year, I want to be more healthy.  Although my goal is to stay away from meat and dairy products as much possible, I have already eaten curry chicken last night from Caribbean restaurant.  And a couple of corndogs the day before.  Today is January 3rd 2011.  I had a small banana nut mufffin with coffee earlier today and I purchased a footlong subway sandwich.  I made sure the person that was making my Tuna subway sandwich included all of the available vegetables.  In that way I will feel good on eating a variety of vegetables today.  I didn't include mayonaise.  But I did asked them to include mustard, which I read somewhere its suppose to be good for you.  And vinegar and oil.

I found out lastnight that apple cider vinegar is really good for your health and can be usefull in other things as well.  So I added oil and vinegar to my sandwich.  I'm also carrying my water bottle today so I wouldn't buy any softdrinks, sweet tea, or soda from McDonalds, while I sit in their facility to do somework.  McDonald have free wifi.  But I did order coffee.  Which I think its ok because it makes me shit. lol!

I think this year, my new year resolution is beneficial for my.  I am including walking everyday to my daily routine.

Now lets see these unwanted fat melt off my ass, hips, and waistline.

What is Apple Cider Vinegar?

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is an effective natural bacteria-fighting agent that contains many vital minerals and trace elements such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, chlorine, sodium, sulfur, copper, iron, silicon and fluorine that are vital for a healthy body.

Natural Apple Cider Vinegar is made by crushing fresh, organically grown apples and allowing them to mature in wooden barrels. This boosts the natural fermentation qualities of the crushed apples, which differs from the refined and distilled vinegars found in supermarkets. When the vinegar is mature, it contains a dark, cloudy, web-like bacterial foam called mother, which becomes visible when the rich brownish liquid is held to the light. The mother can be used to add to other vinegar to hasten maturity for making more Apple Cider Vinegar. Natural vinegars that contain the mother have enzymes and minerals that other vinegars in grocery stores may not have due to over-processing, over-heating, and filtration. For this reason, it is recommended that you purchase only Natural Apple Cider Vinegar, with an ideal acidity (pH) level of 5 to 7.

What are the Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar?
Natural Apple Cider Vinegar is a wonderful natural cure for a number of ailments which usually require antibiotics and other medications that have a number of side effects. In particular, Apple Cider Vinegar has been known to:

Reduce sinus infections and sore throats
Balance high cholesterol
Cure skin conditions such as acne
Protect against food poisoning
Fight allergies in both humans and animals
Prevent muscle fatigue after exercise
Strengthen the immune system
Increase stamina
Increase metabolism which promotes weight loss
Improve digestion and cure constipation
Alleviate symptoms of arthritis and gout
Prevents bladder stones and urinary tract infections
Uses of Apple Cider Vinegar

Weight Loss
While it is not known why, many people claim that Apple Cider Vinegar promotes weight loss. Some theories suggest that ACV helps to speed up the metabolism, while others suggest that it burns calories. A number of nutritionists also believe that combining Vitamin B6 and Lecithin with Apple Cider Vinegar is highly effective for weight loss. A suggested remedy is to mix 2 teaspoons of ACV mixed with a glass of water and drink this before every meal or sip it slowly throughout the day

Bad Breath
Due to its acidic properties, Apple Cider Vinegar makes a wonderful remedy for bad breath or halitosis. Simply add 1/2 tablespoon of ACV into a cup of water and gargle the mixture in your mouth for 10 seconds at a time until the cup is empty.

Body Odor
Apple Cider Vinegar is an effective body odor remedy, since it can help adjust the skin's pH level which helps to eliminate odor-causing bacteria. For armpit odor, simply wipe them once each morning with undiluted apple cider vinegar (using a cotton ball). For foot odor, fill a pan with warm water and add 1/3 cup of ACV, then let your feet soak in this mixture for 15 minutes once per week.

Diarrhea
There are various causes for diarrhea, and although it should not be left untreated, it is often a natural way for the body to rid itself of harmful compounds and ingested materials. Apple Cider Vinegar is a fantastic natural remedy for diarrhea since the high pectin concentration acts as a protective coating which soothes the irritated lining of the colon. A suggestion is to add 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to a large glass of water, and drink this 3 times daily while the symptoms persist.

Major Illnesses
Diabetes
Apple Cider Vinegar may help to control high blood sugar levels, which is why it is often used as a natural treatment for Diabetes. Visit our Diabetes Remedies page to learn more about how ACV can be used to treat this condition.

What are the Side Effects of Apple Cider Vinegar?
There are no major known side effects of Apple Cider Vinegar when used in moderation. However, drinking vinegars, acids or even lemon juices on a regular basis can lead to a deterioration of dental enamel. This can give your teeth a yellowish look and make them more sensitive to heat and cold. To prevent this, the vinegar should always be diluted with water or a pinch of baking soda should be added in order to reduce the acidity level.

Where and How to Buy Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar can be found in almost any natural health or nutrition store, or from a variety of online retailers such as Amazon.com (see links below). Look for ACV with a pH level of 5 to 7. Apple Cider Vinegar can also be found in capsule form which help eliminate the strong sour taste associated with the liquid vinegar.
